Annual General Meeting

AGENDA

1. Acceptance of the Agenda

Motion. Moved (Sue Port)/seconded (Peter Wood)/carried, that the Agenda be accepted as is.

2. Mail. Regular exchange newsletters have been received from Okanagan-Similkameen Parks Society, West Kootenay Naturalists, Castlegar and District Chamber of Commerce, Friends of West Kootenay Parks.

3. Reports. Motion. Moved (Elaine Robinson)/seconded (Lesley Anderton)/carried, that reports be accepted in written form as circulated with the Agenda.

4. Treasurer's Report

Motion. Moved (Gordon Hollingshead)/seconded (Ken Brownlie)/carried, that the treasurer's report be accepted.

Motion. Moved (Ginny Brownlie)/seconded (Bernice Kavik)/carried, that all outstanding accounts be paid.

5. Minutes of the 2005 AGM

Motion. Moved (Peter Wood)/seconded (Lesley Anderton)/carried, that the minutes be accepted as circulated.

6. Dates for meetings 2006 and for mailing of Newsletters.

Motion. Moved (Joan McDonald)/seconded (Peter Wood)/carried, that Friends of Parks and Trails have 4 general meetings in 2006, the next meeting being April 18 and the remaining meetings September 12, and November 14. (see motion to change below)

Moved (Ken Brownlie)/seconded (Lesley Anderton)/carried, that the meetings be changed as follows: the next meeting being April 18 and the remaining meetings September 19 and November 21.

7. Motion. Moved (Bernice Kavic)/seconded (Sue Port)/carried, that the Newsletters be printed and mailed shortly before the meetings whenever possible. Newsletter mailing dates would then be April 7, September 8, and November 10.

8. Motion. Moved (Lesley Anderton)/seconded (Gordon Hollingshead)/carried, that the election of officers be held, then the AGM adjourned to be followed by a short general meeting if necessary.

Secretary: Ginny Brownlie Treasurer: Poul Henriksen

Directors: Peter Wood, Lesley Anderton, Dave Sharp, Ken Brownlie

Elaine to continue with newsletters for now.

10. Motion. Moved (Al Sheppard)/seconded (Pat Sheppard)/carried, that the AGM be adjourned.

CASTLEGAR FRIENDS OF PARKS AND TRAILS, a registered charitable society established to encourage the creation, maintenance and use of environmentally sensitive, public trails.

GENERAL MEETING

Lawrence Redfern told us that a Friends of Stagleap Park Society is being formed.

Elaine reminded us that membership fees are due.

John declared the meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm.

Lawrence Redfern gave an interesting presentation on the Mountain Cariboo Program.
